Bob was, (and still is...) a Native American, Iroquois.  He was also, literally, a genius by the full definition of the word.  Bob "...stepped to the music of a different drummer".  You either took him how he was, or you didn't take him at all.  Seems like people that met Bob either liked him immediately, or had a rather opposite opinion.  The ones of the latter, missed a lot.   Fortunately, I thought he was the most charming and unique creature I'd ever met.

He had an almost, mythical quality to him.  His beliefs were an enchanting combination of belief in God and his Native American culture.  Bob was indeed a very spiritual person.

Our relationship was also, as he was, unique, and because of that, it stayed the closest and most wonderful friendship with a man that I've ever had the pleasure of.

Bob and I laughed a lot together!  Anywhere, including those late night trips to the grocery store.  I probably laughed more with him, than any man I've known.  His sense of humor held on to the end, and I'm sure, beyond.  During that last week while I was visiting him, when he was so ill in 2007, I was helping a friend of his dress him for a Dr. appt.  In his quiet, weakened voice we heard him say, "...the dream of a lifetime, two women in my bedroom and I can't do anything about it." There's something about hearing a person's sense of humor during a time like that, that really makes one's day!

Sugar Bear, how you made me smile and there were times also, you have been the cause of my tears.  I wouldn't trade any of it,
"...to change my estate with kings".
